Visiting an aboriginal site

Today we went on a hike to learn about the aboriginal people that lived in Australia. It was a two hour walk, but it was so much fun. I learned that there are 15 different clay colors that they use for paint. The clay is only found next to rivers. One color was purple.

As we were walking we saw a snake. Our hike took us to a river. We went swimming - it had a strong current. I had fun crossing through it (like 5 times). It was awesome.

At the end of the walk we got to have bread and tea - it was delicious.

Zoo

Today we went to a zoo where we got to hold a koala. It was so exciting I was about to jump out of my skin.

We also got to see crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies, and snakes. But I liked the koala better then anything. The koala was so soft a cute. She had small eyes. She was very heavy, but I didn't mind.

We also went to a playground that was so big. It had a swimming pool, a big bouncy bubble, and a playground. We mostly stayed on the bubble and in the pool. We all had a great time!

Sydney

When we got to Sydney we were all tired and didn't want to do anything. But we went on this walk to a playground that had a small small zip line and a slide that you had to climb with a rope. It also had a big spider web thing that you could climb. It was so much fun that day.

The next day we went to the Sydney Opera House. We looked around where we could. It looked weird with the triangle shapes.

Then we went to the botanical gardens where there were so many pretty flowers. At the gardens we got to see the governor's house. We went on a tour where we could see paintings of governors from along time ago.

When we got home it was late and we had a great dinner. After dinner we all went to bed because we were all so tired.

Three Sisters

Today we went to see the Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains. They are three large rocks in a straight line. The story is that there were three sisters that were turned into stone by their father. He did this to protect them from the monster.

To get to the first sister we went down a giant stairway. We made it to the first one, but there were too many steps (900+) for us to go see the other sisters. It was hard and tiring just walking up from the first sister.

After that we went to a skywalk to go to the other side of the mountain instead of walking all the way there. When we got to the other side of the mountain, we had to pay for our tickets so we could get onto another skywalk.

This one went down into the rainforest. In the rainforest we ate our lunch. After we ate we walked to an old mine that they would get coal for fire a long time ago. Then we went to see the waterfall. It was huge!

We had a long way to walk back, but it was fun. The best part of today was when we got to have ice cream! After dinner the Hostel had an ice cream party. It was so good! I wanted all of the ice cream.

Snorkeling

Today was the day that I went snorkeling at Tortuga Island. I saw so many fish around me in the water, it was like a painting it was so colorful. I might have even seen a turtle, but I am not so sure because the water was cloudy at that place.

After all of the swimming we went back on the boat to go back to the island. When we got back we had a great lunch. Afterwards we played in the water. I snorkeled there, too, and saw lots of coral in the water.

When it was time to go, we all got on the boat. For the 45 min ride back to Montezuma, we were all bobbling up and down up and down over and over again until we got to land. I felt like I was going to fly right off that boat like I was a piece of paper - we were going that fast. So I bet you must know how happy I was to get on land. I felt like I was going to kiss the ground, but still I was so lucky to get to see so many fish in one place.

After we all went to dinner. We had pizza for the first time Since we left New Jersey. We all were excited to have pizza. It was so yummy to us. Since I can remember, we have always had pizza for dinner on Friday. I miss being able to do that. I was so happy we could it.

It was a great day for our family!

Waterfall

It was a hot day and we were going horseback riding on 7 beaches! I mean 7 long beaches to get to the waterfallčśâ.

We went to a waterfall that is 1 of only 7 waterfalls that flow straight into the ocean. It was so cool.

But I was so excited to go back on the horse it wasn't funny! I was about to explode in to a million pieces right there. Then we finally went back to where the horses were tied up. My horse was brown and was the tallest out of all the horses. We got back on and rode all the way back to where we started.

Mommy's horse and mine kept trying to be in front. At one point Mommy's horse pushed mine and mine pushed back - we almost collided. They were like a brother and sister annoying each other.

Afterwards we went to the Hotel Celaje for lunch and a swim in their pool. It was nice to cool down.
