Eiffel tower
Today we stayed out late, (but the night time stuff we did was so much better the what we did in the morning so I will tell you about tonight). So at night we went to see the ......... EIFFEL TOWER! But the best part is that we got to see it light up, but we also got to walk up in the morning. It was a long way up to the second floor. Then we got to go to the top on an elevator. We got to see some great views. It was an amazing site.
At night the Eiffel Tower started out in an amber colour then it was blinking with white lights. It was so beautiful. It looked like you we're on the red carpet with all of the lights that were blinking on the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing. We all had an amazing time.
Here are some good pics
Chocolate
Today we did the opera, perfume museum, Paris story, and a chocolate museum. In the opera house we only went to get our tickets for the next day.
After we got the tickets we went to the Perfume museum. It smelled good. I got to see the big mixers that they used to make the perfumes. We didn't stay long in the perfume museum, but next I went to a very, very exciting place.
I went to......wait for it a...... Chocolate museum. Yeaaaaaaa. So first we had to go through to see we're they get the chocolate beans and what type of beans they get. Then we got to see how they make the chocolate and what they put in it.
Then finally we got to see a demonstration on how they make chocolate and we got to try it. It tasted sooooooo good and sooooooooo yummy. :)
We also got to do a worksheet on the chocolate. We got to get a piece of chocolate at the end. It was a fun time learning about how they make great chocolate.
Finally we had to go home.

Versailles
Today we went to the Versailles palace. We had a great time. Here is what we did.
First we went on a subway, train, and bus. It was 1hour, but we finally made it. When we all got to the place we had to wait in a long line ,but it went fast. When we were in the line I saw so many big buildings all put together. When we got inside we hade to pick where we wanted to go. We went to one of the buildings to go to the garden to eat lunch. I ate a sandwich it was so cold out.
When we finished lunch we started to walk in the garden to Marie Antoinette's house. It was a long walk, but it was very beautiful. When we got to the house we had to show the people at the desk our museum pass to get in for free. She had a huge house, but what we really did was get lost in the huge gardens that were all around the palace and Marie Antoinette's house. It was dark when we got to the main palace. We then went back inside the palace to see the hall of mirrors. It was a big room with mirrors on all of the doors. It was very cool.
Then. It was tim to go, but here are some pics

William Shakespeare and Afternoon Tea
Today we went to the house where William Shakespeare was born. We had a great time learning about his childhood house and how they lived back then.
We bought a five house pass. This means that we can go to five of the houses that had something to do with Shakespeare. We plan on being busy for a couple of days.
At Shakepeare's birthpace we started the tour by walking through the garden. My mom and I went around looking at all the herbs and smelling them. When we entered the house we walked through the kitchen. We saw all of the tools that they used for cooking on in their big fire place.
Then, we went into the workshop where William's dad worked with his four apprentices. We got to see the wool and the leather that they used to make gloves, pouches, and belts. Since clothes back then didn't have pockets they used pouches to carry their coins, silverware, and other items. It was so cool to see all of the stuff that they made back then without all of the technology that we have today.
Next we walked upstairs to the room where William, his brothers, his sisters and parents all slept. It was very crowded. When the kids were around nine or ten they would move in a separate room.
Then we went to the extended part of the house and the second kitchen. This is here because William wanted to have a pub so he could make money. He didn't live in this house at that time, he had bought a bigger house to live in.
After that we ended with going to the gift shop and then we left. I had an amazing time here!
Later we had Afternoon Tea at a great place called The Fourteas. I had a awesome time. We had tea, little finger sandwiches, scones, and cakes. It was so yummy! We started by steeping our tea for five minutes. We even had a five minute hourglass timer to make sure that our tea was just right. Then came the cakes, scones, and little sandwiches. We just ate them all up! I recommend for families to come here. It is a really nice, cozy place in England!

Harry Potter
Today we went to the studio where they filmed the Harry Potter movies. We had a great time looking at the sets and all the others things that were used in the movies: brooms, wands, the night bus,and also the car that Harry and Ron flew to Hogwarts in. It was so cool!!!
First we had to get our tickets and our audio guides. Then we had to wait in a looooooong line. Finally we went into a cinema. In the cinema we saw a short film that showed a glimpse o what we would see on the tour. Once the screen went up we saw the doors to Hogwarts. Our tour guide said "Welcome to Hogwarts." Just like Professor McGonagall said to Harry Potter and all of the first years when they arrived.
When the doors opened we saw the long tables the students sat at and Dumbledore's podium, plus all the other Great Hall decorations in the great hall. It was so cool. Than we got to see we're Harry and Ron slept. Other sets that we saw were: part of the Ministry of Magic, the Black's family tree tapastrey, the potions room and the motorcycle that Hagrid borrowed from Sirius to bring Harry to Dumbledore. Another fun thing we did was to actually fly on brooms and learn how to use wands.
I loved all of it!
When we went outside we saw the night bus, the car that Harry and Ron flew, 4 Privet drive and the stone they used for Tom Riddle's tombstone from book 4. I also tried Butterbeer - it tasted so good! like rootbeer and ice cream with a little extra something. We walked past the wizard chess pieces that they used in book 1. After that we got to see Diagon Alley, but it was much smaller and shorter then I thought it would be. After that we saw all of the masks and wigs that were used in the film.
Did you know that the man who played Hagrid is not as tall as he needed to be. So he has a full body costume with a remote controlled head on top, so he can be as tall as he is supposed to.
Finally we got to see Hogwarts, but Hogwarts isn't a real building. Whenever you see an outside shot of Hogwarts they use this model. When they do a inside view they use the green screen or a set built for a special area, like Harry's cupboard under the stairs (which I also got to see). It was so cool to learn that.
That was the end of our tour, but I will always remember it.
